With over 25 years of experience teaching Dance to preschoolers, we’ve found that it often takes a few lessons for little ones to start participating – and some may take a little longer. At this tender age, many children are peaking with stranger awareness, so it’s completely normal for them to need time to settle into a new environment and faces.
Our teachers gently guide and support your little one to build confidence, helping them thrive during their magical time at Kindy Dance Time and giving them skills to carry as they grow through each stage of life.
Yes! Our program is designed so children can join at any time during the term, provided there’s a place available. Most children settle in quickly and love being part of the group. Fees are automatically discounted on our website to reflect the number of weeks remaining, so you’ll only pay for the classes left in the term.
Absolutely! Younger siblings are always welcome in the studio. Babies often love watching from their prams, and toddlers under two may sometimes be invited to join in with a few group dances at the teacher’s discretion.
We know that little ones at this precious age often like to wear many different outfits in a day – and that’s all part of their growing independence! Trying to convince them into a uniform can sometimes create unnecessary battles before class, so at Kindy Dance Time, we keep things stress-free.
Children are welcome to wear whatever they like to class – from a fairy dress or dinosaur costume to something simple and comfortable like shorts and a T-shirt. The most important thing is that they feel relaxed and free to move. We do have an optional uniform available through our online shop – cotton-lycra flares or shorts and a Kindy Dance Time T-shirt – for those who’d like to dress the part. And of course, dress-ups are always welcome! If a sparkly tutu or superhero cape helps your little one feel excited to dance, we say bring it along.

In our younger age group – our Kindy A classes – parent participation is encouraged and forms a beautiful bonding experience. As children grow older and gain confidence, they begin to dance more independently – but parents are always welcome to stay and observe every class.
Absolutely! Our program is designed for both boys and girls aged 2–5 years. Every theme and activity is gender-neutral and developmentally appropriate, encouraging all children to explore movement, imagination and FUN.
Please bring a named water bottle for your child. To keep our studios safe, food isn’t permitted during class. All instruments and props are provided by Kindy Dance Time.
Yes, definitely! We have many twins in our classes. In the younger age groups, parent participation is needed, which can sometimes feel a bit challenging – but our caring teachers are always there to lend a hand. Often, one twin is a little more confident, and our teachers will happily work alongside your other child when needed.
